FEE-AG “Gasification of Biomass”: Workshop at the Koblenz sewage treatment plant

On 28.10.2019 the workshop on “With sector coupling and synergy effects to energy self-sufficient sewage treatment plants: Synthesis gas from sewage sludge” took place in Koblenz. The organizer was the FEE working group “Gasification of Biomass”. The FEE (Fördergesellschaft Erneuerbare Energien e.V.) is a non-profit innovation network in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency that connects small and medium-sized companies, research institutions and technical experts.

The Stadtentwässerung Koblenz (SEK) and Kopf SynGas were joint hosts of the event. More than 25 representatives from industry and research institutions were welcomed by Eberhard Oettl (FEE) at the opening of the workshop. After the lectures, Mr. Ulrich Marquart (SEK) gave a guided tour of the sewage treatment plant. Afterwards Dr. Johannes Judex (Kopf SynGas) showed the sewage sludge gasification plant.
